Light Rail Transit Projects in Cambodia Show Promising Progress

PHNOM PENH: China Metro Group, currently conducting feasibility studies on two light rail transit projects in Cambodia, has reported positive progress, emphasizing its commitment to their success.I n a recent update, the group has signaled significant headway in its research, echoing a steadfast dedication to bringing these ventures to fruition.

In a meeting held on Wednesday, Mr. Li Kuo, the Director General of China Metro Group, met with Peng Ponea, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, to share the encouraging developments. Mr. Li elaborated on the ongoing efforts and positive outcomes of the feasibility studies concerning two critical light rail transit initiatives aimed at bolstering the connectivity within Phnom Penh, the nation's capital, and Siem Reap, a province renowned for its cultural heritage.

The projects under scrutiny include a light rail line designed to bridge Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport with the heart of Siem Reap province, and a second line envisioned to link Techo Takhmao International Airport directly to Phnom Penh.
